Diesels are Amazing! Just a few years ago, the word diesel brought up images of slow moving trucks lugging heavy loads up steep hills slowing traffic. Not anymore! Diesels are now breaking into the racing category. My son has a Cummins Diesel pickup that races the quarter mile in the 12s. Next year, Chevrolet is bringing out a Corvette Diesel. Amazing!

Gas motors cannot measure up to the power, speed and fuel economy of a diesel. While gas pickups are hauling trailers and campers around on vacation, sucking up a gallon for every eight to ten miles on the road, diesel pickups haul the same load up the mountainside at seventy miles an hour, consuming only one gallon for every fifteen to twenty miles.

There is absolutely no comparison between a gas and diesel motor!

BP3 Hold The Horsepower Just Won This Beauty On Ebay

This is a 1955 International Harvester S-110 series, short box pickup (115 inch wheelbase); 100% stock.

This truck came with documentation, including original registration, build sheet (window sticker), and several restoration receipts.

This truck has the stock, heavy duty, Black Diamond 240 ci engine rated at 140 horsepower (the other models were 100 HP). It has the four-speed synchromesh on the floor with a granny gear. The electrical is a 6 Volt system.

The pickup has been driven only 200 miles since a frame off restoration in 2003 (tires still have all the rubber studs on them).

Everything was replaced or redone in 2003 including engine rebuild, body and paint work, interior, undercarriage, new chrome, tranny, tires, electrical, etc. (hub caps were the only thing not redone). New rubber trim has been installed on the doors, and elsewhere. This was not factory but it sure cuts down on noise and helps seal the cabin.

The original truck is a low mileage, rust free truck that spent time in both California and Colorado. This Binder still sprots the original glass except the windshield.

Paint is very nice - no scratches, dents, etc. (two very minor scruffs from hood). Rare Blue and White two tone color (original pickup was Seafoam Green). Bed and undercarriage is powder coated black. The body and fenders are straight.

The S series is unique due to the tapeziod-shaped grill and the headlights set in the crowns of the fenders. The International has a very unique hood latch with front-opening, right and left side hinges depending upon where the work needs to be done. By opening both the right and left hinges, you can easily, and completely, remove the hood.

Truck runs fantastic and always starts with the first try and will do 55/60 MPH comfortably on the highway.

    Random Humor: Another Blonde Joke

Q: Why did the blonde nurse take a red pen to work?

A: She wanted to draw blood!
